If you happen to be in Ushuaia with time to visit museums (and interest in doing so), Google or Trip Advisor will probably direct you to one of three places:
Museo Marítimo (Maritime Museum, housed in Ushuaia’s infamous prison)
Museo del Fin del Mundo (Museum of the End of the World, about the region and the city)
Casa Beban (the house of one of the “pioneering” families of Ushuaia)
Since my reason for visiting Ushuaia was to conduct research for writing a historical novel, I was eager to learn as much about the history of the city as I could. Consequently, museums were a must-see.
